Accommodations

Rooms may be book outside of normal business hours depending on staff availability. However, such requests may incur an additional fee.
Yes, the Detroit Center has video and teleconferencing capabilities.
Yes, the Detroit Center is wheelchair accessible via our Martin Luther King (Mack)/ Woodward entrance.
Parking is a standard rate of $7.00 per vehicle, with a potential discounted rate available at $5.00 per vehicle. To quaify for the discounted rate, your must pre-pay for parking for your event (pre-payment in non-refundable). The parking structure entrance is located on Parsons St. between Woodward Ave. and Cass Ave. All guests must park on the third floor and above (floor 1 is handicapped parking and floor 2 is reserved for staff who work in the building.) Parking tickets can be validated (confirm with event lead for validation) at the front desk of the center by the close of business at 10 p.m. (Monday – Thursday) or 5 p.m. (Friday – Saturday).

Catering

No. However, in such cases, the reservationist must sign a waiver accepting sole responsibility for food and/or beverage services.

Costs

Facility fees depend on whether an organization is affiliated with the University of Michigan. However, costs for non-University groups are quite competitive with comparable facilities. For more information, contact a Reservation Associate at detroitcenter@umich.edu or 313-593-3584.
The use of audio-visual equipment is included on the room rental fee.
