Accommodations

Rooms may be book outside of normal business hours depending on staff availability. However, such requests may incur an additional fee.
Yes, the Detroit Center has video and teleconferencing capabilities.
Yes, the Detroit Center is wheelchair accessible via our Martin Luther King (Mack)/ Woodward entrance.
Parking is available in the DSO structure located directly behind the UM Detroit Center. The parking structure entrance is located on Parsons St. between Woodward Ave. and Cass Ave. All guests must park in spaces that are not reserved for DSO or University of Michigan staff. All UMDC visitors will need to take a ticket when entering into the structure. Parking can be validated  at the front desk of the center when you are signing in for your meeting/event space.

 

Catering

No. However, in such cases, the reservationist must sign a waiver accepting sole responsibility for food and/or beverage services.

 

Costs

  • University of Michigan units: Free of Charge
  • Event room rentals are available to external, for-profit organizations at a rate of $160 per hour.
  • U-M Alumni, non-profit, and community-based organizations are eligible for 1 free use of an event space and a 50% discount on our published rates for future uses.
  • There is a charge for U-M units, U-M Alumni, Non-Profits, and Organizations, if the event is after-hours.
